Leap in with Bold Innocence: Stumbling Toward Genius

In this first episode of the podcast Stumbling Toward Genius, find out how I started my coaching business 20 years ago. It was without a clue, with a lot of brio and with a lot of help from my friends.

Listen to the entire episode here:

In this episode:

  • You’ll hear the strategies I used to get the word out about my coaching
  • The income streams that floated me while I built my coaching client roster
  • How I coped with feeling incompetent at the beginning
  • Today’s creative competency: the power of bold innocence.

Oh la la, so happy for the guest cameo from Xavier le Français! “Enjoy your innocence!” 😀

Great podcast, Cynthia, so fun to hear how you got started 20 years ago. Thanks for the inspiration and wise words, as usual. 🙂

    Cynthia –

I really enjoyed listening to the podcast. I especially loved it when you said bold innocence is: “I want to do that. It looks like fun. I have no idea why. My heart says do it.” I think this is what keeps us sane and alive.

As a technical writer, I write a lot, but it is not always very creative work. So lately I have tried new things that I am not yet very good at, but I really like them, like quilting, learning Spanish, and doodling. Who knows, maybe I might even work on writing a book I started more than 10 years ago!

Also, j’adore Xavier. Il est tres interessante. M’excuse, mais, je n’ai pas un keyboard avec tous les accents 🙂

I look forward to doing your homework.

    – Martha
