Hello lovelies!
It’s Monday again, another fresh start for our writing week.
What ONE thing will be your primary focus for your writing? I know you have several things on your writing list (lucky you!) I ask for one thing because, well, I don’t want to get overwhelmed.
I also know that when we have a main or primary focus, it’s easier to make sure we make progress on that item. Sure, you will probably make progress on all your items, but what ONE project feels most important to you this week?
Share your main writing focus in a comment below.
Holiday hours
I’m heading off-grid later this week. I’ll be doing my annual retreat for reviewing and planning the year. So you may not hear from me until early 2015. I look forward to sharing lots of creative joy with you in 2015 and beyond!

I have been writing, but it is time to finish the drawings for my book. My goal is 5 drawings this week.
Great! Let us know when you finish the drawings so we can celebrate with you!
I wish to finish up our MINDDRIVE Sponsorship “deck” or proposal, as you wish so that I can start soliciting asap in 2015. I’m about halfway done with the writing, haven’t started the design yet!
Linda,
Okay, so is your goal for this week to finish the writing part? Maybe next week starts the design element?
I find I make more progress when I break the job into sections and have a smaller, manageable weekly focus.
Hope this helps you make super progress this week! Good luck!
I will write a solid first draft of an article for my synagogue’s e-newsletter and website. I have all the material/quotes and a very basic beginning draft. All the photos are pulled and photoshopped. I told my editor, the executive director, that he’d get something by the end of the week. I want my plate cleaned of everything outstanding so I can enjoy having our 2 daughters home for the holidays…in less than 2 weeks!
Sounds good, Bobbi! And I’d say you’re shooting for a second draft. That basic beginning draft counts for something, doesn’t it?!
I love how the holidays or trips help us focus more. It feels good to clear the decks before party time! Enjoy getting ready for your family visit.
I’m a bit late to the party this week, but I have been writing! My essay project continues, and although I haven’t been able to write every single day, I have written two new essays. Every step is a reason to celebrate! I’m also working on my new website copy and on a brand new free e-book for subscribers, so that I can launch my website soon…
That sounds like a lot, Maya Sofia! Can’t wait to see your new web site! Have fun with those essays.
I’m on the road and will be journaling this week. Getting ready for 2015 to be my year of writing every day!
Sounds good, Donna! I look forward to an amazing 2015!
I am so happy I found you!! I looked last week but couldn’t figure out where to post. I am working on one story. Not all of my 5 that I have been writing. I almost have it ready to submit to a writing contest:) I want to finish by the end of the week, before all the kids come home and wedding festivities begin!
Nice, Jane! One story at a time. Have fun in the final laps and enjoy your holidays – and wedding!
Hi, worked 12 hour shifts Monday and Tuesday so this feels like start of week. I got crits back on story from one person so will work changes in. That’s it!
Enjoy making those changes, Jan!
Hey everyone! I fell ill today and can’t respond right now. But I am very excited that you are all writing. Hopefully I will be back tomorrow and can respond more specifically.
Feel better!
Thanks, Donna. Feeling a bit better today. 🙂
