Let's savor our writing this week

Hello lovelies!
It’s Monday again, another fresh start for our writing week. Let’s not dread our writing tasks. Instead, let’s savor the writing we are privileged to do.
What ONE thing will be your primary focus for your writing? What writing will you savor this week, even if it’s just savoring that it’s done?
Share your main writing focus in a comment below. If you’re ready to savor your writing even more this year, read on.
Liking this kind of focus and accountability? Yes? You will love the daily accountability and writing support I offer in my popular Free-Write Fling class. It’s stunningly simple and potent, this class.
Every day we write for at least 15 minutes, using a prompt to get flowing. We gather in our private writing salon aka the Fling Zone – to share our experiences. There, I gently nudge, champion and encourage Flingers from around the globe who are braving their hearts and their pens.
If daily writing accountability (at a very reasonable price) is something you think would exponentially increase your writing satisfaction this year, join us to write in February’s Free-Write Fling. Snag your writing seat now, and get ready to make serious progress on your writing.

I have another writing assignment from an urban interfaith food justice NGO. Yesterday I photographed an event with kids harvesting in a garden and I have to write and edit photos after I’ve pulled about 20 good ones. I thought of the support I get from all you guys on my way to the shoot: could I work the still new-to-me lens, my usual fears about interviewing people, can I understand the vision and details about this new client organization after spending hours Sunday night reading through several years of their newsletters online. Just the usual self-doubt churn. I’m reminding myself to go through the work flow a step at a time.

      Bobbi,
Yes, the self-churn will likely always be there. But you’re using the methodical work flow process that pros use to help work despite our inner critic’s nagging. You’re making great progress!
Have fun with that project. I love hearing all the good you are up to in the world with your talents. 🙂

    HI Cynthia!
I my primary focus this week is to put the daring into my writing. To feel the edge of fear and still attempt to write it anyway. I feel excited about this. There are some stories I want to tell, and I am giving myself the challenge to write the words that are scary this week.
    XXO!

Thank you for sharing that Robin! I hope writing your daring pledge here has helped make daring easier.
Your writing does seem to get more bold, more truthful, more authentic and in turn, more impactful. I love it always.
Thank you for daring. It helps us all.

With your words in my ears and my heart finding new excitement, I pushed the words across the page. My first novel is complete. You, dear Cynthia, helped me lay the dominoes. I can’t thank you enough for the motivation, the inspiration, and the reminder that I was meant to write."
