Creative Mornings, a breakfast lecture series for the creative community, has come to Denver. I finally got in the loop this morning.
Lindsey Housel of the Denver Art Museum spoke to a full crowd at DAM about rebellion and creativity. My capture for your enjoyment:

Its pretty, but doesn’t tell me anything about the actual lecture other than a few redundant keywords and an occasional motivational phrase ‘fear is a prison’. duh! π
Your notes are so pretty tho.
Jeremy,
This is pretty much the sum of the actual lecture…so WYSIWYG. π
I also think I can be more of a voice in my notes – making notes about how I am responding to the lecture. These captures are straight from the presentations. I will think about whether I want to add my voice to the page when doing this.
I want to see the rest of your notes!!! Just one page isn’t enough for me. Love this idea. I went to a lecture Wed and doodled along with my notes. I want to know more about rebellion. My work is too safe. 65 cities? I’m checking for how close they might be to me. Happy Weekend, Cynthia!
Bobbi,
That’s pretty much it for that session. I did make some side notes to myself like:
compile list of creativity books (theory & how-to) I’ve read and recommend
names of people I met
things mentioned that I want to research
ideas for projects I’m working on
a doodle of something with an idea
something someone said that sparked an article idea.
Happy weekend to you, too, you creative dynamo, you!
OMG. They have their videos online. Heaven.
I would think that LA would have Creative Mornings, too. I haven’t looked at the videos yet, though I did see one that Lapin did in Barcelona. It was in Spanish and it was fun to see if I could understand it. π
