I call on you to step up fully to honor your impulse to write. I invite you to ask yourself not will you write but what will you write.
What if you lived as if writing were not optional, but a daily tonic, a balm to your spirit? What if you finally took your writing impulses seriously and wrote something, anything, every single day?
What will you write today?
What will spring from your heart
leaping to marry with your mind
and beg your body to
sit still enough
to bring it all together
onto the page?
You, revealed.
You, shared.
You, trusting.
You, giving what must be
written
so your day
and your life
are spoken.
What will you write today?

Today I will write a poem. I have been writing my book, The Busy Woman’s Guide to Writing a World-Changing Book, all last year. It’s almost done!
But I have been craving more personal writing, and know that after the book launch and excitement of that is over, I will turn my pen to personal essays.
For now, I am going to write a daily poem to keep in touch with my heart and my feelings.
Hi Cynthia, thanks for the inspiration! I am doing my 100 Day Project early this year in order to finish before I leave for a long England vacation in May. I’m practicing hand lettering and writing in my journal everyday. I’m a super inconsistent journal writer so it will have to be short and sweet! But I’m hoping to strengthen my writing muscles and work up to more blog posting this year. My word for this year is Share! Happy New Year to you!
What a great idea, Colleen, to do the 100 days on your schedule. Where can I see your hand lettering? I love your word of the year.
You will have a fabulously creative 2019, I can tell.
I am on Instagram @viewfromtheheart. I will probably only post the 100 Day project once a week or so this time. Social media will be a more intentional activity for me this year too. <3
Hey Cynthia!
Happy New years to you and yours!
I will write about what needs to be said, wants to be said, what is curious to see the light of day, scared to be put out into the open, what’s been lost between the cracks, hopes, dreams, hates, passion, humor, tragedy and love. Then I will edit.
I welcome the adventures to come and thank you so much for the opportunity to learn and practice here.
Here is to the 2019 Atelier and all who have shown up!
