I’m wrapping up a big and satisfying year. Lots happened but not in the usual way.
- Art school year one is over. Did I earn my A?
- What experiments did I fail at and what did I learn?
- One big tweak changed my life – not what I would have suspected!
- I read 100 books this year. Which do I recommend again and again?
- I’m launching a new online class for writers and lovers of Paris. How fun will it be? (A lot – check it out!)
Cut to the chase and get the scoop in my annual report:
Join the conversation about living your best creative life
If you’re a creative person juggling life and writing/art making, you may find value in taking a peek behind the curtain to my processes.
This year, I have had more than 300 coaching conversations about what we need to do our best work. Because we’re all different, each person’s needs are different. But there are common threads and these threads are what I have used to weave my own best life.
It’s a work in process, this life. This report is as well – once I put it to bed I remembered people I’d meant to acknowledge, things I wanted to share. Alas, I know all too well how hard it is to close the book and hand it to readers.
This is just the beginning of the conversation I’ll be having more of next year – how do we cultivate our vitality so we can do our best work. I do hope you join in the conversation.

I mention two other annual review processes I enjoy; one of them is Chris Guillebeau’s multi-part annual report at the Art of Non-Conformity.
I’m celebrating 2013 with you and eagerly anticipating a stellar 2014!
