It’s there for a reason.
Acts of creation are not optional.
Your project is Soul Work. It’s a deep reflection of who you are and how you see the world. It’s essential for you to finally capture it and share it in a form that’s right for you.

It has to be made now. It’s time.
Introducing...
The Original Impulse Atelier
Designed for creatives like you...

Eight months to flourish in a live, online studio dedicated to your creative project with support, coaching, and community and FUN!
I believe it’s vital that you claim your creative work. We are called to step up, to make a difference in the world with our creativity. The world needs your ideas, your positivity, your voice.
Perhaps you feel a renewed sense of purpose and commitment for your creative project. Perhaps your life has changed and you are ready for the work now.
You know it’s time.
Yes, it’s time. I feel it too. So I took a page from the French. I designed a virtual creative studio, where together we do the work that matters most to us.
The Original Impulse Atelier is a working sanctuary to learn, grow, and thrive creatively. Ahhhh...I can hear your sigh of relief from here.
Unlike a traditional atelier, in the Original Impulse Atelier, we aren’t teaching art or writing skills. Instead, we move forward on projects that are meaningful to us and offer value to the world.
When it comes to making massive progress, you’re much more likely to be productive in a group. You fondly recall the days when you were surrounded by a group of creative comrades...the days when you each worked on your own projects, sparking each other to reach for your creative edge.
Finally, a place to be inspired and productive on the work that drives real change in our lives. Because my goodness, the world needs our creative vibes more than ever!
Finally, a place that recognizes that creative work isn’t just a matter of disciplining yourself to just do it–making is a sacred expression from your soul. And pssst...I believe our souls thrive with some fun too.
This is your working haven to focus on one project
that matters most to you. Finally, you’ve found the place to enjoy your creative work.
"Without the Atelier, I would never have worked so consistently on my travel blog. The Atelier helped keep me on track and engaged with my project. Cynthia and the Atelier group provided excellent feedback and motivation as well as key learning points to help me succeed." Molly Nunnelly

This is not a passive environment.
Atelier is a place for action takers.
There are plenty of classes that you can sign up for and hide out because the teacher isn’t present. The Original Impulse Atelier is for proactive creatives who thrive in a facilitated environment with dedicated peers. There will be fun, and there will be rigor. No snoozing in the back row!
You're expected to honor your commitments and stay engaged in the Atelier and your project. You will finally have someone on your team that believes in you and your project. OMG, it feels so good!
"I am grateful to the Atelier for being a container for me to dive into being a writer. Atelier enabled me to have a greater understanding of where I stop myself. I know how to move forward even when fears and anxieties get triggered. I have tools to work with which I did not have coming into the Atelier.
I learned so much from Cynthia and from the other creators in the group. I now embrace my own creative process so differently. Thank you for an incredible journey this year!" Elizabeth Joy Mueller

"The Atelier and your coaching made all the difference for my life and career as a performer. I now have permission to make art front and center in my life. That was not something I felt was okay before. Before we worked together, I was definitely hiding. I didn't even know how to work my art into my day on a regular basis. Now, I play my music all the time.
With my art as a priority, I feel a lot more aligned. I get to be who I am. One of the key differences from before working with you is who I am on the inside is much more visible on the outside. Now it's like unliving who I thought I was supposed to be.
I regularly go to my practice studio, which is a big deal. My repertoire is greatly expanded. I feel performance-ready in a way that I didn't before the Atelier. I have been doing regular concerts in long-term care homes. I have a SoundCloud page now, an online presence. I have a profile on the house concert page. I'm putting myself out there publicly.
Cynthia, you never made it feel like I should be at a certain place by now. You have compassion and complete acceptance of where I am at the moment, along with encouragement to keep growing. You always had my best at heart.
The life of the artist is never just the project, right? Our creative work reaches into all parts of your life. You take into account the holistic nature of being a creative person." Kathy Fitzpatrick

Who’s a Perfect Fit for Atelier?
You’re ready to finally enjoy your creative progress. You know that being part of a healthy, dynamic mastermind group facilitated by a professional coach will make all the difference for your success.
And you don’t need to be able to pronounce Atelier to be at this party.
This is for you, if you can say YES! to these four requirements:
1. You know what you want to write or create now.
2. You will commit time, energy, and attention to your project.
3. You are community-oriented and interested in learning from others.
4. You will show up. Our studio is inclusive of all phases of the creative process except bailing or ghosting.
"I just wanted to thank you soooo hard. I FINISHED my shitty first draft on July 3rd.
I have proved to myself that I am a (First Draft) Finisher anyway. I have structural feedback from one reader that I believe I have the skills to incorporate. And I will get the Beta Reader draft out in August, God willing, or September.
I COULD NOT HAVE DONE THIS WITHOUT YOU!!!
Thank you, Cynthia, for being a key mentor on the path of the craftswoman to learn, practice, find the discipline, and savor the art of writing.
Eternally grateful," Willow Baum
You will love having the space and support to finally focus, follow through and finish a project that matters.

Meet your coach, Cynthia Morris
I LOVE helping people get
unstuck creatively, so they can do the work
they’re meant for.
A writer since 1994, I have put my pen to many genres: short story, essay, roundup articles for newspapers, non-fiction books, how-to articles and blogs, course curricula, and even a Paris historical novel.
I am also a watercolor artist and have created many bodies of work including illustrating a marketing book for artists.
One of my clients called me the Swiss Army Knife of writer’s coaches because of the range of experience I bring.
I’m a certified coach, working with clients and students as a coach/teacher since 1999. Lots of people offer writing workshops, but very few have over 20 years experience facilitating the writing process for students and clients.
What does this mean for you?
I know what works, and I bring my heart, kindness, compassion and rigor to my students and clients. Oh, and my sense of humor plays along with us always. Because my goodness, we need to laugh on the regular, right?
As a member of the Original Impulse Atelier, you’re a cherished client. I regard you and your project with respect.

"As a full-time artist with an established studio practice, I entered the Atelier so curious about what I might learn. Of course, describing the program as an "Atelier" was a natural draw.
I learned mostly about myself and how to be the best person I can be as I approach the work. Be clear. Be Patient. Be Loving to yourself. Celebrate the wins!
The practice of setting intentions through writing, declaring very short term goals out loud, and creating a cadre of accountability buddies has established a foundation that I can build upon for life. Formidable Cynthia!"
Sam Woolcott
