Make Writing a Happy Habit
Finally, make progress and enjoy your writing life!

September 13 - October 22, 2010

If you’re tired of struggling to get to your writing projects, Make Writing a Happy Habit is what you’ve been waiting for. This online course goes where other classes don’t: straight to the heart of why you write, so you can build a solid foundation to continue writing even when class is over.

If you are:

  • Full of ideas but lack the discipline to focus, follow through and finish
  • Isolated and yearning for the support of a writing community
  • Lacking the structure and focus you need to stay with your writing projects
  • Unable to make time for writing, always pushing it aside for other demands…

This is the class that will put writing where it belongs: at the heart of your creative life so you can feel great about seeing your brilliant ideas take shape.

Here’s what I’ve seen in over fourteen years of coaching writers:

Happy writers in Paris

Many writers will start their writing lives with a class in how to write a novel, essays, a blog, poetry…. This is normal, and of course we need instruction so we can learn our craft.

The problem is that we count on these classes to help us build a writing life, and the classes aren’t designed to do that. They’re designed to teach us the craft of novel or poetry writing.

You use the class deadlines to give you structure to make sure you write, and that works for a while. But then what happens when the class is over?

You know it too well: without the structure of the class, you don’t write. And you beat yourself up for it.

"Cynthia Morris's coaching and mentoring talents are powerful and rare; she is sophisticated about finding the soul of what you do. She helps you create a disciplined yet non-overwhelming way for you to actually reach your writing goals. Few advisors can do both so well. I highly recommend her coaching."  Joseph Coplans, InkStain Inc.

You can make writing a habit – a habit you anticipate, enjoy, and that enriches your life. In this course you will:

Make it happen

  • Use structures and systems that help you stay organized
  • Keep a consistent writing schedule that works in your busy life
  • Choose a project to focus on to give your writing intentions traction

  • Know your next steps
  • Enjoy a writing habit that suits your goals and style

I’m your writing coach, Cynthia Morris, and I’ve coached thousands of writers to create their happy habit. My happy writing habit has allowed me to finish and publish Create Your Writer’s Life, write a historical novel, Chasing Sylvia Beach, pen five e-books and write over 500 articles. I use my successes to mentor you to achieve yours.

Imagine the joy I feel when I see my students go from stressed, uptight and fearful to happy, engaged, and loving writing! That transformation is why I put this curriculum together in a way that allows you to work on your own project and get support from me.

Finally, you’ll have the structure and focus to write what you really want. At the end of the class you’ll have everything you need to keep writing – whether you’re in a class or not. The lessons will provide you with the tools you need to keep renewing your writing habit. We will not be reading and offering critique on your writing – that’s for the craft classes.

And because all work and no play makes for a dull day, you’ll get plenty of inspiration to make your writing habit a happy one – a habit you relish, a habit that enhances the rest of your life, a habit that expresses your true vitality.

Based on my book, Create Your Writer’s Life, this class will gain a deeper relationship with their writing to enjoy your brilliance, not fight it.

Get in now and avoid hanging around on a waiting list for the next cycle!

Space is limited in this class. I’ll be giving hands-on attention to you in our online classroom, and there’s only so many students I can work with at a time. Cost for the class is $157.
