In last week’s Impulses, I wrote about ten things creative people need to thrive in business. I’ve been coaching and teaching for ten years, and I am constantly learning about how I can better serve my clients and students. Being a creative businessperson is like graduate school of the self and the world. Opportunities abound for understanding my place in the world and how I can better serve others.
To celebrate and enjoy the chance to reflect on the last decade, I created a slideshow/movie highlighting the last ten years in my business. This project was so satisfying. Not only was I learning my new slideshow software (Keynote, the PowerPoint for Mac), I was seeing how all the choices I made brought me to this moment.
I recommend this exercise for everyone. If you’re not in business, do this for your life or your creative practice. I developed an exercise I call the Adventure Resume. You can find instructions for drafting your Adventure Resume here.
If you’re curious about how I built my business or just want to share the celebration with me, enjoy this slideshow I created to celebrate ten years of facilitating creativity.
