June 27th – 29th, 2014
You love art workshops, but you’re ready for something that’s a little more…fun.
You love your life, and are ready for a little more zest. You’d love to feel the thrill of travel on a more regular basis.
Wouldn’t it be great to experience wow every day instead of just when you’re traveling?
Capture the Wow is a unique creativity training that uses the world as both inspiration and classroom.
Boulder, Colorado will re-inspire your creativity
Boulder is the perfect combination of mellow and creative buzz. This small city huddles at the base of the foothill mountains in Colorado. The kind of people who come to Boulder: scientists, Buddhists, athletes and people who are working to change the world.
It’s also an art mecca, with natural beauty and inspiration at every corner. The mellow pace and astounding beauty are why I lead my Capture the Wow Excursions here. If there’s ever any wow to be found in the US, it’s here.
The most fun weekend for you
A weekend in Boulder opening your senses and delighting in new experiences will fuel your creative life for years to come.
We start on Friday afternoon at the Dushanbe Tea House, one of Boulder’s unique landmarks right on the creek. In our opening ceremony, we’ll unpack our wow kits, meet our fellow Wowsters, and set the scene for the rest of our time together.
Then, we’ll celebrate with High Tea inside the Tea House, complete with tea cakes and the choicest teas. You’ll have your wow journal with you to capture the beauty and grace of this magical place.
On Saturday, we’ll meet in our Wow Zone – a sweet spot just off Boulder’s Pearl Street Mall. We’ll learn some new wow capture tools, then we’ll be off on an adventure through the town together.
I’ll share my favorite spots with you, including the Boulder’s Farmer’s Market. I’ve traveled all around and this is the best open air market I’ve ever been to. It’s a wow feast for sure.
We’ll have plenty of time to capture the wow in our journals, with stops along the way to deeply experience the wonder in new ways. The practices I will teach you will be available to you forever, no matter where you travel.
Our day will end with a visit to my favorite place on the planet – Two Hands Paperie. Here you can stock up on inspiration and more art supplies if you need them.
On Sunday, we’ll convene at our Wow Zone. We’ll have time to share our journals, to ask questions and to learn more creativity practices. You’ll also have time to wander on your own to track your own adventures and absorb all you’ve learned.
We’ll end our magical weekend with a wow show and tell and a sweet party to celebrate our creative exuberance. You’ll leave with tools to capture the wow in your own world, every day.
