Cynthia’s Clients Achieve Their Goals

My clients are working to make a difference in the world: through environmental and social entrepreneurship, coaching, consulting, writing and more.

Many of my clients call me for help with putting their power into words.  Others need help taking their mission to the next level. I provide the structure, support and expertise to call forth the best in amazing people who are ready for more. My clients gain confidence, build passion and allies for their vision, and  develop concrete and doable plans to move forward joyously.

I have the good fortune to work with many talented and dynamic visionaries. Enjoy the stories my clients tell about the impact coaching has had on their vision and work. Imagine what coaching could bring out of you!

I'm not able to work with everyone who comes to me, and I find that when I am selective about whom I take on as a client, my clients' success rates go way up. If you're interested in coaching with me, give me a call. I have a process I use to ensure that we're a good match and that I am the person to help you achieve your success.

I came to Cynthia for coaching because I felt
S-T-U-C-K.  I was miserable practicing law but I couldn’t see my way out.  Working with Cynthia was like opening a door that had been locked with chains and bars for several years.  We let in all this fresh air and sunshine and suddenly there were possibilities that seemed exciting and real.

I recommend working with Cynthia because she works with you wherever you are.  On those days when you’re riding your bike, the wind is blowing in your hair, and you’re coasting toward your grand vision, she’s on a bike next to you taking in the sights and cheering you on.  When you’ve fallen off the bike and you’re wondering whose dumb idea this change was, she’s right there with the antiseptic and bandages, helping you get past the tears and see the glorious vista that’s still right in front of you.

With Cynthia’s help, I left the practice of law, started my own venture, and now have two book deals.  Who can’t use a partner like that?!

“I didn’t know how to make the book happen on my own. Cynthia has a way of seeing into the heart of an author and gently opening a crack so that the ideas and feelings can leap out into the sun. She gently coaxes but advocates with passion.

Cynthia believes in my work when I forget why I’m writing. She offers a structure for writing that helps me create something tangible. Using her as an editor during the process helped clarity that I was headed in the right direction with my writing. Her voice is an invitation to write and I find myself following it with curiosity and joy.”

“I'm a busy executive who wants results and demands value.  I know many fine coaches, but I chose to work with Cynthia Morris because she is a natural coach, and because she readily accepted my most difficult challenge:  to learn to coach myself so my evolution might continue past our time together.

Through her unique approach to values coaching, I quickly came to a deeper understanding of myself that gave me the confidence to make important decisions.  Almost without exception, the path she helped me find ran downhill, so the results came much quicker than I had expected.

In short order I created a new role for myself at a company I started but was ready to leave.  I also started another business and am making rapid progress toward other long-term goals.  Hire Cynthia if you're committed to making lasting change in your life and want a coach who won't tolerate you failing yourself.”

"I approached Cynthia at a time when my creative energy had dipped.   I had invested so much into my business and supporting other writers that I had lost enthusiasm for my own writing project.

During out time together, I began making real creative connections again, rediscovering my love of books, of gardens, of singing, of art.  She supported me as I moved from one literary agent to another and helped me to refocus my energies back to my own novel.  Now that novel is nearly complete and I am in the process of redesigning my business.  I have started sketching again and am planning to go to art classes.

I cannot recommend Cynthia highly enough. I did so appreciate our coaching and my renewed energy for my creative work has continued since our coaching. Cynthia is inspiring and empathetic and has a wonderful ability to know just how to get you back in your creative flow; to find the joy of it again."

“I had a book idea pursuing me that was so large in scope it was intimidating simply to speak about. I thought I would work with Cynthia, write the book and that would be that. Instead, as she guided me through the initial steps of formulating my ideas, as she sat with me and supported me, a thing even bigger than a book emerged. It turned out there was an international non-profit organization in there, swirling around with the book! The project got launched, is beautifully (miraculously) off and running and now the book is (virtually) writing itself, with the help of the voices of women from all over the world.

Cynthia is different than other coaches.  I’ve worked with coaches before and I’ve never found them to be ‘inspiring’. I never much cared for the endless list making and infantilizing ‘how many calls did you make today?’ sort of approach that seems to be a part of the average-coach tool kit. Cynthia is a ‘fierce’ coach.

There were days when it felt as if she was more unconditionally on board with my vision than I was, and her passion was so genuine it was contagious. She is truly a woman who believes that everyone has a particular passion, a particular voice, a particular style.

I absolutely recommend Cynthia’s coaching. Once she has guided you to identify your mission she is doggedly faithful to that part of you, even if you can’t remember your first name on some days...she’s right there holding you accountable to everything that’s inside you waiting to come out.”

“I felt stuck in my career and couldn’t see clearly what my next steps were. Through the coaching process I gained clarity.

I joined a partnership and have worked to bend the rules so that work is enjoyable, fulfilling, challenging, fun and rewarding.

I certainly recommend Cynthia to others. I already have and have seen the results in those referrals as well.”

“Cynthia, because of your encouragement and guidance, I'm watching my book go through the final production stages. It's a reality!

I hired you as a writing coach, but you've been so much more. You've coached me through personal challenges as well. I'm always motivated after I talk with you. Because of that, business is booming and I feel like I know myself much better than before I hired you.

Your coaching is invaluable to anyone who wants to get things done and needs accountability. Thank you.”

“I have an offer to publish my book series, and I owe so much of it to working with Cynthia. I was having trouble staying accountable to myself for putting together a book proposal. Working with Cynthia, I gained accountability, great ideas, and the confidence to keep moving forward.

I was so pleased with how Cynthia helped me achieve my goals. It was wonderful! Thank you, Cynthia!”

“I’ve enjoyed Cynthia's blog and e-zine for a couple of years, and when I found myself in the midst of a major playwriting project -- my one person show -- I decided to give Cynthia's Creative Leap coaching a try. Thank God I did!  Oh my, until I experienced the Creative Leap, I never would have believed how powerful three coaching sessions could be. Cynthia's laser-like insight and her wonderful guiding spirit helped me to get really clear about how I needed to proceed with my writing project. She helped me to create and plan out a physical environment that would make me feel inspired to write, as well as develop and commit to my writing practice (and make it fun!). We created concrete goals for my project, and I'm happy to say I met (or exceeded) them all. When it comes time to start my next major project, I will definitely be coaching with Cynthia again.”

Pidge Meade, solo performance artist, San Francisco, California

Working with Cynthia helped me to develop a firm and deeply rooted respect for my own creative process. Through her caring and insightful focus on first steps, clarity, questioning, I discovered how to listen carefully to my own intentions, how to ask the best questions, and most importantly how to do what needs to be done to maintain a consistent creative practice. A life-changing experience for which I am deeply grateful!

Working with Cynthia on financial empowerment was a complete surprise.  Her gentle yet fearless coaching through the gnarly forests of "money issues" was life changing in ways I had not even imagined.

I shifted my way of working with others, of creating, and of relating to all things financial in a few short sessions. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for anyone who ever believed that creativity and finances don't play well together!”

“I knew Cynthia was the coach for me because of her emphasis on creating a writing life, which has been my biggest challenge. I've had the training in craft, but I needed to figure out how to actually get my writing done without becoming a hermit.

Through my work with Cynthia, I gained valuable clarity on the place of writing in my life. I made significant progress on my novel, creating and reinforcing strategies to keep me working in a happy and healthy way. Her calls never failed to turn my mood from discouragement and confusion to joyful enthusiasm. This woman knows her stuff.

I recommend Cynthia to anyone who wants knowledgeable and inspiring companionship on the rocky road of artistic creation.”

Alison Gresik, Fiction Writer, Ottawa, Canada

“I had numerous reasons for seeking a life coach but a primary focus was a big career change. After 22 years as an advertising executive I sought something more meaningful and less stressful which would allow me time to discover my true passions and my soul’s purpose. The results from coaching were immediate. I left my corporate job and found work that allowed me to use my talents and have time for what is important to me.

I gained a clear idea of my values and an innate trust in my path that made the career shift seamless. I am more present in each moment, which makes my entire life more balanced and full of joy. Coaching with Cynthia has been a gift that I will have with me always.”
