I’m headed to Paris tomorrow, mainly for a speaking engagement at the American Library for my historical novel set in Paris.
But this is likely to be my last visit to Paris for awhile. I’ve been going there every year since 2000, and I feel complete with this place at this time.
I’ll be doing all my favorite things in Paris as a goodbye to this wonderful world:
- biking around the side streets and boulevards
- hanging out in cafés drinking coffee
- looking at art in museums and galleries
- strolling in the Luxemboug Garden
- getting my daily pastry dose!
I want to take you with me, so here’s my treat for you: I will be making fifteen postcard paintings, each of a favorite moment in Paris. The back of the card will tell the story of that Paris moment.
Be part of this, my last Paris trip, in this fun way. Order your Paris painting* today and I will send it to you in February. Your Paris painting is only $30.00. I won’t do more than 15, and these will go quickly, so get yours now. Order one for a friend, too! (What a fun gift!)
*Paintings are 5 x 7 or 5 x 8.5.
Get yours now. SOLD OUT
A historical note: on one of my trip to Paris in 2003, I did this very project: offered a postcard painting to those who donated to my trip. I also did ten for ten in 2009, celebrating ten years of Original Impulse. Buyers loved these paintings and it was a true pleasure to make them.
I leave for Paris early Saturday morning and won’t be able to take orders once I leave. I expect the paintings to be snatched up quickly, and I’ll close the shop on Saturday morning at 7:00 am MDT. Monday at 8 am Paris time.
Buy your painting now. SOLD OUT
Psst…don’t be stingy with this offer. Share this with your friends using one of the handy buttons below.

Have a GREAT trip Cynthia! Can’t wait to hear the stories since they will be particularly sweet this time.
XO
Thanks, Linda!
Even though I’m here to speak about my novel, I feel like this week I get to spend my Paris time as an artist, making images with color and line and photos. Excited…and if it really does rain most of the time, there are plenty of indoor refuges for artists in training.
Sweet little painting and great marketing!
Bravo Cynthia – your paintings are fabulous and I agree – I love the whimsy, the bold strokes of your marketing…zesty and delightful!
Bises,
Francoise
Thanks Patricia! It’s been a real treat to do this project.
Frances,
I love the words you used in your comment – bold, whimsy, zesty, delightful – exactly how I would want to be known!
Thanks for saying my paintings are fabulous. I’m learning, and I love it. I’m inspired to keep painting!
Merci!!
I love the Paris roses!
Great work.
