Cynthia won the
Funds for
Writers “They
Actually Paid Me
to Write”
contest in 2005
with her essay,
Poetry for the
People. She
also won the Le
Central award
for the funniest
essay in 2003.
She has
completed an
historical novel
set in Paris and
is seeking
publication.
Cynthia is a

Denver Woman's

Author's League.
Cynthia designs
and leads
creativity and
writing tours in
France,
where her fluent
French comes in
handy. In love
with French
language and
culture since
the age of 14,
and with a
degree in French
and
International
Studies, Cynthia
has visited
France many
times and lived
there twice. She
was awarded a
cultural grant
from the
Alliance
Française in
2001 to do
research for her
novel. Cynthia
is a member of
the Alliance
Française of
Denver.
